Rebalancing
Once a system is balanced, it will typically need to be re-checked every 2-3 years. The exception to this is if the use of the space changes. For example, an employee break room being converted into a conference room, an office with 3 occupants now holds 6, etc. Space use adjustments alter the amount of air and air flow needed.
Why is rebalancing important?
Restores Efficiency: Over time, airflow and pressure can shift due to system wear or changes in the building, reducing efficiency. Rebalancing corrects these shifts and optimizes performance.
Improves Comfort: It ensures even distribution of conditioned air, eliminating hot or cold spots and maintaining consistent temperatures throughout the building.
Reduces Energy Costs: A balanced system runs more efficiently, reducing energy consumption and lowering utility bills.
Extends Equipment Life: By ensuring the system operates as designed, rebalancing prevents unnecessary strain on components, which helps extend their lifespan.
Maintains Compliance: For systems subject to regulations or certifications, rebalancing ensures they continue to meet performance and safety standards.
